Francisco Cantero Soriano is a Ph.D. Candidate in Spanish Literature writing a dissertation on poethics in 20th-21st century Spanish exile poetry. He studies form, lyric theory, close reading, and the transatlantic dynamics of exile, space, time, and identity in relation to the queer body. He writes on translation and the visual arts, paints on translation as a visual art, and beyond Rutgers, is the director of the Spanish-language cultural arts magazine Revista Impetu.
